Camelback Havoc

I picked this up from Nashbar last month. I’m still getting to know it but from what I can see so far this is one serious piece of gear. I am able to carry my homemade SLR camera case in it, a full bladder, a mini tripod and a bunch of other little necessities. It gets heavy but what the hell I’m carrying a ton of stuff.

It seems very well put together and the straps are insanely comfortable when it is under full load. Look for a full review coming up, but if you are in the market to upgrade and need a pack for an epic ride this is your pack. Get one now before they sell out as they are really marked down right now at Nashbar ($60 plus shipping) and at a few other places on the web.

I couldnt be happier with this setup. I have another Camelback (MULE circa 1998) that I take if I’m not lugging around the camera equipment but this Havoc just seems to have all of the requisite bells and whistles. The clips snap in rock solid and even the zippers seems extra sturdy. Again, time will tell but I couldnt be happier.

I also think my little homemade 35mm camera case completes the whole deal. I’ll post some more detailed pics but for what I’m carrying, I cant think of a better way to do it.
